Heat exposure
The temperature limit applies at the wire position: up to +180 °C (356°F) continuously, with short-term exposure up to +200 °C (392°F).
APPLICATION / INDUSTRIAL HEATING
Wiring near furnaces and electric heaters.
We start from extra-flexible silicone single-core wire: fine-stranded tinned copper with silicone rubber insulation, 28 AWG to 2 AWG, rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term in fixed installation.

AT A GLANCE
Each heating-equipment connection and the silicone wire we start from.
| Connection | Silicone wire we start from | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Electric-heating equipment wiring | Extra-flexible silicone single-core wire | +180 °C (356°F) continuous, +200 °C (392°F) short-term |
| High-temperature equipment connections | Extra-flexible silicone single-core wire, 28 AWG to 2 AWG | Outside diameter 1.2 mm to 12.5 mm |
| Furnace peripheral wiring | Extra-flexible silicone single-core wire | Route and temperature reviewed per furnace |
HEAT & INSTALLATION
Our silicone wire is used for wiring industrial high-temperature equipment. Tell us the wire route and installation conditions so we can confirm the specification.
The temperature limit applies at the wire position: up to +180 °C (356°F) continuously, with short-term exposure up to +200 °C (392°F).
Above +100 °C (212°F), the wire needs suitable ventilation. Enclosed spaces, routing restrictions and whether the connection moves also affect the selection.
Circuit voltage, load and conductor size decide the wire. Our silicone wire range covers several types with different voltage ratings and approvals, so the rating is confirmed for the type you select.
WIRING APPLICATIONS
Our wire is used for heating-equipment wiring; each furnace installation is confirmed with your drawing.

INTERNAL CONNECTIONS
Silicone-insulated leads for internal wiring of electric-heating equipment. The temperature limit applies at the wire position.

EQUIPMENT INTERCONNECTIONS
Industrial high-temperature equipment is another typical application. The selected wire specification must match the actual cable route and electrical duty.
FURNACE & OVEN EQUIPMENT
Hot-chamber installation and direct contact with heating elements are not specified uses in the linked wire datasheet. The listed limits are +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term.

Continuous use up to +180 °C (356°F), short-term up to +200 °C (392°F). We confirm the limits of the selected wire. For a quotation, include the cable route, continuous and peak temperatures, circuit voltage and required quantity.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
No. It runs outside the hot chamber and away from heating elements, and the temperature at the wire position decides the selection.
For fixed installation, no tighter than 6 × the wire diameter: 7.2 mm for 28 AWG up to 75 mm for 2 AWG.
The datasheet specifies +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term, but does not give a maximum duration for the +200 °C (392°F) exposure.
