APPLICATION / MOTORS & GENERATORS
Wiring for motor terminals and generator circuits.
For motor leads and equipment interconnections, we start from YGG silicone-sheathed cable: tinned-copper cores under a silicone sheath, 2 × 0.14 mm² to 5 × 10 mm², rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term in fixed installation.

AT A GLANCE
Each motor and equipment connection and the silicone cable we start from.
| Connection | Cable construction | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Motor terminal connections | YGG silicone-sheathed cable | +180 °C (356°F) continuous, +200 °C (392°F) short-term |
| Electrical equipment interconnections | YGG, or shielded YGGP where screening is needed | Up to 20 cores; 300/500 V or 450/750 V versions |
| Generator circuits | Generator-specific cable specification | Circuit and rating reviewed before selection |
CONNECTION TASKS
YGG is a silicone-sheathed cable for equipment power and control connections. Generator leads require circuit-specific ratings.

EQUIPMENT WIRING
YGG is used for power, control and connection wiring in electrical equipment. We review your installation against the selected cable.
GENERATOR WIRING
Generator-lead requirements include the circuit voltage, current, conductor size and terminal arrangement. No generator-specific rating is listed for the YGG cable shown.
SELECTION CHECKS
Send the equipment requirements alongside the cable specification. We use them to select the cable.
Power, control or feedback duty, with voltage, current and any drive-system cable requirements, defines the cable.
Temperature at the cable route, ventilation, enclosure space and terminal arrangement matter more than the machine rating.
Fixed, occasional or continuous motion, and any screening and termination needs, decide the construction.
CABLE REFERENCE
YGG silicone-sheathed cable is a general power, control and connection cable for electrical equipment. Its use on your motor or generator is confirmed with your drawing.

OUR CABLE / YGG SILICONE-SHEATHED
We confirm the construction, rating and suitability for your equipment. Continuous motion and generator leads need a separate review.
YGG silicone cable and PVC servo cable
Used for power, control and connection wiring in electrical equipment. Your motor or generator application is confirmed separately.
Our standard-flex servo cable is made for servo motors and drives, with PVC insulation and sheath. It is a different product from the silicone cable above.
It is designed for fixed installation and occasional movement; continuous motion needs its own specification.TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
Not as standard. YGG is designed for fixed installation and occasional movement without pulling force; a continuously moving route needs a construction tested for that duty.
Sizes below 0.5 mm² are rated U0/U 300/300 V, 0.5–4 mm² are 300/500 V, and the heavy version from 4 mm² is 450/750 V. We confirm the version against your motor circuit.
For fixed installation, no tighter than 6 × the cable diameter: 24.6 mm for a 2 × 0.14 mm² cable (4.1 mm) up to 115.8 mm for 5 × 10 mm² (19.3 mm).
