AGR is a silicone-insulated single-core wire with fine-stranded tinned copper and no outer sheath. Listed sizes are 0.3–16 mm²; the fixed-installation rating is −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term.

Lighting fixture wiring
Inside the fixture, AGR runs as a single insulated lead. Outdoor luminaires and ignition circuits need their own rating.

State the electrical duty and distance between connection points. Identify whether individual wires or a sheathed cable are specified.

Frequently asked questions
Does AGR include an outer sheath?
No. AGR is a single insulated conductor without an outer sheath.
Is it approved for outdoor luminaires or ignition circuits?
The AGR datasheet does not list outdoor-luminaire approval or an ignition-pulse rating.
Which AGR wire sizes are listed?
AGR is listed from 0.3 mm² to 16 mm², with outside diameters from 1.8 mm to 8.0 mm. Sizes from 0.5 mm² are rated U0/U 300/500 V; smaller sizes 300/300 V.
