Silicone Cable for
Woodworking Machinery

Cabinet-to-machine connections and protected internal wiring.

For cabinet-to-machine and protected internal wiring, we start from YGG silicone-sheathed cable: tinned-copper cores under a silicone sheath, up to 20 cores, rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term.

CONNECTION TASKS

Woodworking machine wiring

YGG silicone-sheathed cable is a general power, control and connection cable for electrical equipment. Dust, chip impact and continuous motion on woodworking machines need to be specified and reviewed.

ROUTING

MOVING AXES

CNC and handling motion

Submit the moving-route drawing and motion profile separately. A cable designed for occasional movement is not suitable for cable-carrier service.

SELECTION CHECKS

Operating conditions to specify

Include these conditions with your enquiry so we can select the right cable.

Dust & chips

The exposure at the cable location and the machine's mechanical protection decide the installation design.

Circuit & interfaces

Power, control or feedback duty, the terminals and the required screening define the cable.

Cable movement

Travel, bend radius, speed and cycles define any moving connection.

APPLICATION LIMITS

Cable & mechanical protection

The sheath material alone does not make an installation dust-tight or chip-resistant.

Connection
Define the electrical requirements and cable construction.
Protection
Show covers, glands, carrier or conduit requirements in the installation drawing.
Motion
YGG is not specified for continuous cable-carrier service.

QUOTATION CHECKLIST

Woodworking machinery brief

Send a drawing or existing cable specification with the following information.

What information helps?
  • Machine layout and protected/exposed cable routes
  • Circuit types, conductor sizes and connection drawings
  • Dust/chip exposure and protection-system details
  • Any carrier motion, cycle requirements and acceptance documents

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Frequently asked questions

Is YGG resistant to wood chips?

The YGG datasheet does not specify a chip-impact rating. Exposed routes need separate mechanical protection.

Is this a replacement for a dedicated CNC cable specification?

No. Power, feedback and moving-axis circuits need the machine builder’s specified cable requirements.

Is a shielded version available for feedback circuits?

Yes. YGGP adds a tinned-copper braided screen under the silicone sheath. Confirm the core count, size and screening for your circuit.
