STERILISATION
Sterilisers and disinfection equipment
Internal wiring near heaters and chambers of autoclaves, washers and disinfectors. Give the local temperature and steam exposure.
APPLICATION / Medical equipment
Equipment wiring, not patient contact.
We start from silicone-insulated, silicone-sheathed cable for internal equipment wiring: 300/500 V, rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term, with 2 to 10 cores from 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm².

AT A GLANCE
Each equipment connection and the silicone cable we start from.
| Connection | Cable construction | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Sterilisers and disinfection equipment | Silicone-insulated and sheathed cable | +200 °C (392°F) short-term; sterilisation cycles not yet tested |
| Medical and laboratory equipment | Silicone-insulated and sheathed cable, 2 to 10 cores | 300/500 V equipment cable; not medical-device approved or offered for patient contact. |
| Cleanroom and pharmaceutical equipment | Silicone-insulated and sheathed cable | Cleaning agents reviewed per route |
CONNECTION TASKS
Our silicone-insulated and sheathed cable is used for wiring medical and disinfection equipment, cleanroom devices, and pharmaceutical and bio-engineering equipment. It is for wiring inside equipment and is not tested for biocompatibility or patient contact.

STERILISATION
Internal wiring near heaters and chambers of autoclaves, washers and disinfectors. Give the local temperature and steam exposure.

DEVICE WIRING
Internal connections in equipment housings. Specify voltage, conductor size, core count and required approvals.
CLEANROOM
Wiring on process equipment in pharmaceutical and bio-engineering areas. Describe cleaning agents and cleanroom requirements.
SELECTION CHECKS
Include these conditions with your enquiry so we can select the right cable.
The equipment type and the standards and documents for its internal wiring define the requirement.
Cleaning agents, sterilisation method, temperature and number of cycles set the exposure to test against.
The cable must not contact patients; patient-contact cables need separate biocompatibility evidence.

APPLICATION LIMITS
Cables that touch patients are a separate product category with dedicated testing.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
Product datasheet and quotation checklist.
Construction, applications and size table.
Certification is model-specific; the marks on a datasheet do not replace a certificate.Send a drawing or existing cable specification with the following information.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
No. The cable has not been tested for biocompatibility (such as ISO 10993) and has no medical-device approval. It is offered only for wiring inside equipment.
An autoclave-cycle rating is not specified in the product datasheet. The temperature rating alone does not establish sterilisation-cycle performance.
At least 6 × the outside diameter when fixed and 10 × when moved. Outside diameters run from 5.1 mm to 18.3 mm.
