HIGH-TEMPERATURE POWER
High-temperature power connections
Power connections in high-temperature areas of rolling stock, the scope of EN 50382-2 silicone-insulated cables. Name the voltage class and temperature type.
APPLICATION / Rail & transit
Rail cable requirements and project enquiries.
Rail enquiries require the project’s cable standard, fire-performance requirements and test plan. The AGR datasheet linked below does not provide evidence of rail compliance.

AT A GLANCE
Each rail connection and the standard it is built to.
| Connection | Silicone cable | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| High-temperature power connections | EN 50382-2 project requirements | Voltage class and 120 °C (248°F) or 150 °C (302°F) type to be specified |
| Current-collection and earthing links | Custom flexible silicone cable | Current and movement define the strand construction |
| Onboard equipment wiring | EN 45545-2 project requirements | Every material must meet the project's fire requirements |
CONNECTION TASKS
The three connection types below are reviewed as custom projects to the standards you name.

HIGH-TEMPERATURE POWER
Power connections in high-temperature areas of rolling stock, the scope of EN 50382-2 silicone-insulated cables. Name the voltage class and temperature type.

FLEXIBLE LINKS
Flexible connections at current collectors and wheelset earthing. Give the current, length, movement and termination.
ONBOARD
Wiring inside heaters and equipment boxes on the vehicle. Every material must meet the project's EN 45545-2 requirements.
SELECTION CHECKS
Include these conditions with your enquiry so we can select the right cable.
The cable standard, for example EN 50382-2, the EN 45545-2 hazard level and any operator specification define the construction.
Voltage class, current, short-circuit conditions and conductor class set the electrical design.
Heat, vibration, outdoor exposure and fluids along the route decide the materials and tests.
OUR CABLE
The AGR datasheet describes a single-core silicone wire. It does not list EN 50382-2 or EN 45545-2 compliance.

AGR / SINGLE-CORE WIRE
Continuous use up to +180 °C (356°F) and short-term exposure up to +200 °C (392°F).
APPLICATION LIMITS
In rail projects the named standard sets the construction, materials and tests.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
Product datasheet and quotation checklist.
Construction, applications and size table.
Certification is model-specific; the marks on a datasheet do not replace a certificate.Send a drawing or existing cable specification with the following information.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
No current EN 45545-2 certificate is provided for the cable shown. A rail-specific cable needs its own compliance documents.
No. Ratings such as 300/500 V do not correspond to EN 50382-2 voltage classes. The rail rating must be specified and verified.
EN 50382-2 silicone cables are specified by voltage class and by a 120 °C (248°F) or 150 °C (302°F) type. Name both in your enquiry.
