INTERNAL WIRING
Heat-exposed internal leads
AGR is a single-core insulated wire without an outer sheath. Its listed continuous temperature range is −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F).
APPLICATION / Glass processing
Wiring for glass production equipment.
For heat-exposed leads, we start from AGR silicone single-core wire: fine-stranded tinned copper with silicone rubber insulation, 0.3 mm² to 16 mm², rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term in fixed installation.

AT A GLANCE
Each glass-equipment connection and the silicone cable we start from.
| Connection | Cable construction | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Heat-exposed internal leads | AGR silicone single-core wire | −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous, +200 °C (392°F) short-term |
| Equipment electrical connections | AGR wire, or silicone-sheathed cable if the drawing needs a sheath | Single wires or one sheathed cable, as your drawing shows |
| Glass handling motion | Separate motion specification | AGR is specified for fixed installation and flexible wiring, not continuous motion |
CONNECTION TASKS
AGR silicone wire is used in the glass industry for equipment wiring near heat. It is a single insulated wire; sheathed, screened or moving connections need their own construction.

INTERNAL WIRING
AGR is a single-core insulated wire without an outer sheath. Its listed continuous temperature range is −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F).

EQUIPMENT WIRING
Specify whether the drawing calls for individual insulated wires or a sheathed cable. Confirm protection and termination details.
DYNAMIC ROUTING
Describe axes, carrier routing and repetitive movement. Heat resistance does not make a wire suitable for robot or carrier motion.
SELECTION CHECKS
Include these conditions with your enquiry so we can select the right cable.
The connection's location and temperature, independent of the glass-processing temperature, set the requirement.
AGR is an insulated single core without an outer sheath, so the enclosure and routing protection must be defined.
Moving sections need their travel, bending, torsion and cable-system requirements.

Certification is model-specific; the marks on a datasheet do not replace a certificate.Send a drawing or existing cable specification with the following information.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
No. AGR's rating applies to the installed wire: up to +180 °C (356°F) continuously and +200 °C (392°F) for short-term exposure. It does not describe the glass-process temperature.
No. AGR is a single insulated conductor without an outer sheath or screen.
AGR runs from 0.3 mm² to 16 mm², with outside diameters from 1.8 mm to 8.0 mm; smaller sizes below 0.5 mm² are rated U0/U 300/300 V.
