THERMAL LOCATION
Kiln-adjacent equipment wiring
Identify the electrical connection outside the process area. Give the wire-route temperature and protection details.
APPLICATION / Ceramics equipment
Wiring for kilns and ceramics equipment.
We start from AGR silicone single-core wire: fine-stranded tinned copper with silicone rubber insulation, 0.3 mm² to 16 mm², rated −60 °C (−76°F) to +180 °C (356°F) continuous and +200 °C (392°F) short-term in fixed installation.

AT A GLANCE
Each ceramics-equipment connection and the silicone cable we start from.
| Connection | Cable construction | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Kiln-adjacent equipment wiring | AGR silicone single-core wire | Outside the firing chamber; +180 °C (356°F) continuous at the wire |
| Equipment internal leads | AGR silicone single-core wire, 0.3 mm² to 16 mm² | Colour identification; no outer sheath |
| Control and drive interfaces | Multicore or screened silicone cable, built to your drawing | Specified separately from single-core leads |
CONNECTION TASKS
AGR silicone wire is used in the ceramics industry. Keep the wire outside the firing chamber and within its temperature limits.

THERMAL LOCATION
Identify the electrical connection outside the process area. Give the wire-route temperature and protection details.

SINGLE-CORE CONNECTIONS
Specify wire size, insulation diameter, colour identification and terminal arrangement for the equipment drawing.
SEPARATE CIRCUITS
Identify signal, power or drive duty. Submit screened, multicore and moving connections as separate requirements.
SELECTION CHECKS
Include these conditions with your enquiry so we can select the right cable.
The wire route relative to the kiln, with its actual local temperature and duration, sets the thermal requirement.
The covered route, supports, ventilation and any mechanical exposure decide how the wire is protected.
Conductor size, voltage, current, terminals and the required product documents complete the specification.
OUR CABLE
Construction and technical data.

AGR / SINGLE-CORE WIRE
APPLICATION LIMITS
Cable temperature limits apply at the installed wire position, not to the kiln's firing temperature.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
Product datasheet and quotation checklist.
Construction, applications and size table.
Certification is model-specific; the marks on a datasheet do not replace a certificate.Send a drawing or existing cable specification with the following information.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
Firing-chamber suitability is not specified in the AGR datasheet. The wire is rated up to +180 °C (356°F) continuously and +200 °C (392°F) short-term at its installed position.
No. AGR is a single-core wire. Multicore and screened connections use different cable constructions.
AGR is listed from 0.3 mm² to 16 mm², with outside diameters from 1.8 mm to 8.0 mm. Sizes from 0.5 mm² are rated U0/U 300/500 V.
