Silicone wire & cable / Flexible Silicone Wires & Cables
Flexible Silicone Wires & Cables
Flexible silicone wiring designed around the installation.
Start with stranded tinned-copper conductors and silicone insulation, then select a single-core lead or a sheathed assembly. Fixed routing, occasional movement and continuous travel use different construction and qualification requirements.

Movement types
Flexible Silicone Cable Installation and Bending
The factory AGR and YGG constructions support equipment-wiring selection. Repeated high-temperature movement can be developed as a separate custom design.
| Installation duty | Construction starting point | Project definition |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed equipment wiring | Class 5 tinned copper with silicone insulation; use a silicone outer sheath when the connection needs a common covering. | Define conductor size, finished diameter, bend space and strain relief. The YGG reference lists 6 × diameter for fixed installation. |
| Occasional movement | Fine-stranded cores with the selected silicone insulation/sheath arrangement, routed without imposed tensile load. | Specify bend direction, movement frequency, temperature, supports and cable-exit protection. |
| Repeated high-temperature travel | A custom candidate combines Class 6 conductors, FEP core insulation, layered non-woven wrapping and a silicone outer sheath. | Define radius, travel, speed, acceleration, load and temperature; qualify the complete construction at the required cycle count. |
Routing checks
Bend Radius, Cable Entries and Strain Relief
A fixed-installation bend radius is not evidence of a continuous-flex radius.
Cable Entries and Connector Termination
Include cable-entry dimensions, connector drawings and the arrangement for supporting the cable near the connection.
Bend Radius and Cable Support
The YGG reference lists 6 × finished cable diameter for fixed installation. Confirm the selected product and a separate requirement for moving service.
Temperature, Movement and Tensile Load
Describe ventilation, normal and peak temperature, movement and tensile load. Confirm the complete operating conditions together.
Construction choices
Single-Core and Sheathed Flexible Cable Designs
The category includes different reference constructions; flexibility does not define one uniform build.
AGR Silicone-Insulated Single-Core Wire
The AGR factory reference is a Class 5 tinned-copper conductor with silicone insulation and no common outer sheath.
YGG Silicone-Sheathed Multicore Cable
The YGG reference has core-insulation options beneath a silicone outer sheath. Check the selected material version, core count and finished diameter.
Extra-Flexible Conductor and Cable Options
The extra-flexible single-core and sheathed sheets have their own conductor and installation details. Confirm the required strand build and motion rather than inferring cycle life from the name.
Custom & supply
Custom cable production and supply for your project
We manufacture custom cables to the agreed project specification. Share your drawing, operating conditions, quantity and delivery destination so we can define the construction, samples and supply terms.
Discuss your specification- Installation duty
- State fixed, occasional or repeated movement, including the route and any pulling load.
- Bend and connection limits
- Provide the required radius, finished-diameter limit, supports and terminal drawings.
- Operating and supply details
- Include temperature, ventilation, required verification, sample needs and order quantity.
Packing & delivery

Flexible Silicone Wires & Cables: questions before ordering.
Does “flexible” mean suitable for continuous drag-chain use?
A category name does not confirm continuous-flex service life. The YGG reference specifies fixed installation and occasional movement. Send the travel path, bend radius, speed and required cycle life for a product-specific review.
Which minimum bend radius should I use?
Use the requirement for the selected product and installation condition. The factory AGR and YGG references list 6 × finished cable diameter for fixed installation; this is not a verified continuous-flex radius.
Can you develop a design for repeated high-temperature movement?
A concrete custom direction is Class 6 conductors, FEP core insulation, layered non-woven wrapping and a silicone sheath. The proposed cable is then qualified against the agreed radius, travel, speed, temperature and cycle requirement.
What information is needed for moving service?
Provide the movement path, radius, frequency or speed, travel, tensile load, temperature and required life. Suitability must be confirmed for the proposed cable and conditions.
CABLE SELECTION & QUOTATIONS
